Abstract
The California Department of Food
and Agriculture has published recommended
guidelines for the retrieval of the Indian
Ringneck Parrakeet, Nanday Conure and
Canary-Wing Bee Bee, all of which are
confirmed as having bred in the wild . The
program will be given a one year trial
period, during which time the state's proposed
prohibition on the possession and
sale of said birds will be postponed. If the
program succeeds, the contemplated restrictions
will be shelved.
