  • Tjarda Sixma
    Tjarda Sixma (1962) cultivated her art from the 1980s until 2004in photography, video and painting. Her work has been accepted by several museum collections including the Groninger Museum. Currently she works as a freelance illustrator. She holds an M.A. in New Media and Digital Culture from Utrecht University. Her research interests include online virtual worlds, media literacy and the influence of the digitalization on art photography. She has published about the history of the picture phone (Tijdschrift voor Mediageschiedenis, 2007) and gives lectures on media literacy and new media art.
