Two approaches to do so are presented here: one evaluates vulnerability from a deterministic view applying the analytical hierarchy process (AHP); the second uses a probabilistic approach based on the Latin Hypercube and Monte Carlo modeling, therefore it considers the probability distribution functions of the variables under analysis. The results show that a probabilistic approach is more suitable for the assessment of coastal vulnerability.

Recorded Presentation from the vICCE (YouTube Link): https://youtu.be/WDbsVMYsnJs
ER -
