Abstract

①The grain size accumulation curve obtained by an image picture is comparable as the mechanical sieving technique ②With decreasing of the diameter of sand grain, the value of roundness increases. So the shape of sand grain gets in a perfect circle and the distributions of roundness frequency show the Gaussian distribution.③The sediment path way along the beaches on Awaji Island estimated by the expanded model corresponds to observation data very well.④The statistical significant level of the expanded model for sediment transport path way increases with introducing the value of roundness.
