HYDRODYNAMIC INTERACTION OF SUBMERGED SLOTTED BARRIER UNDER SOLITARY WAVE
Abstract
The results show that flow separation occurred by each element of slotted barrier, and the induced vortices would interact each other to further create complex flow pattern similar to vortex shedding process. Further, the induced flow fields and the location as well as the strength of each vortex can be quantitated. In the next step, we attempt to reproduce this setup using both RANS and LES modeling. Model-data comparisons in terms of free surface elevation, velocity and turbulence characteristics can be expected.
