Abstract

The purpose of this essay is to identify aspects within the biblical discourse of the Catholic church to denote the church's outlook towards homosexuality as diametrically opposed and obsolete, especially in today's western society where the definitions of conventional gender roles and the orthodox family are in constant amendment. Additionally, this text attempts to see homosexuality as another expression of human sexuality which can be included in "God's plan of Creation" since, in Christian dogma, God is an omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent closed system.
