Abstract

This paper discusses the Incident Process and how one may adapt and use it to supplement the more traditional case approach for teaching business policy and strategy. Guidelines concerning instructor and student preparation and ways to conduct the Incident Process discussion are given. The author’s experience suggests that the method heightens student involvement and analytical skills and helps to emphasize the instructor as a resource person rather than a task master.
