Urban education was once a gray, overlooked section by many educators and policymakers. This area of education has evolved into one of the primary focuses of education in the United States. Urban education involves students, families, and educators of communities within densely populated areas. The purpose of the Urban Education Annuals is to provide its readers with insight on some of the current issues and policies facing all involved in educating the students of these areas.
