Coastal Engineering Proceedings

**************** Proceedings Papers Submission Instructions ****************

Submission of Full Papers and Posters is now open. The main information is as follows:

  • Submission deadline for Proceedings papers is September 30th, 2014
  • For those who gave oral presentations, use either the MS Word or Latex template to create a pdf version of your final paper. Page limit is 15 pages. Templates can be downloaded here.
  • For Poster Presentations, submit the poster displayed at the ICCE, either as a pdf, ppt, or image file
  • Submit your final Proceedings Paper or Poster file following the instructions given in the file “ICCE online submission instructions.pdf,” which is included in this zip file. Note that you will NOT start a new submission; authors will simply add the final Paper/Poster file to your original Abstract submission. During this process authors will have the opportunity to update author, title, abstract, etc. information to reflect any changes made since the Abstract submission.
Do not hesitate to contact Patrick Lynett directly if you have any questions or comments about the Proceedings submission instructions.

The International Conference on Coastal Engineering (ICCE) is a biennial conference held under the auspices of the Coastal Engineering Research Council of the COPRI (Coasts, Oceans, Ports, Rivers Institute) of the American Society of Civil Engineers. The Proceedings of the ICCE are provided here, with papers covering a wide range of topics including coastal waves, nearshore currents, coastal structures, sediment transport, coastal morphology, beach nourishment, and coastal management. To access the most recent issue, click on the "Current" link above. To access previous Proceedings, click on the "Archives" link.

The goals of the ICCE can, still, be well presented by the preface from the first Conference in 1950: "The Conference on Coastal Engineering was conceived originally as a local meeting of engineers and scientists interested in shoreline problems... The aim was to aid engineers by summarizing the present state of the art and science related to the design and planning of coastal works... Although much remains to be done in the way of developing reliable design methods, the series of papers presented at the conference and published in this volume do represent a rather thorough summary of coastal engineering as now practiced." - J. W. Johnson
