Abstract

Thyboron channel is located on the West coast of Jutland, Denmark, and connects the Limfjord with the North Sea, see figure 1. The channel was naturally opened following a major storm event in 1862. In the years after the opening of the channel, the neighbouring coasts experienced substantial erosion, which put the town of Thyboron at risk.
