COST-BENEFIT ANALYSIS OF SHORE PROTECTION INVESTMENTS
Abstract
The paper describes the methodology established in Spain to assess shore protection investments. The method consists of two phases: a pre-assessment based on physical and economic indicators and an assessment in which the financial, economic and social appraisals are estimated using cost-benefit analysis techniques. The paper also contains the preparatory works to create a data-base necessary to establish a demand-modelling.
