PARTICLE VELOCITY MEASUREMENTS WITH A LASER DEVICE

Abstract


A laser velocimeter has been used to measure particle velocities in a turbulent suspension in open channel flow. Both mean and fluctuating velocity components can be determined and the system may also be used to give records of instantaneous fluid velocities.
