THE COASTLINE OF RIVER-DELTAS

Abstract


The purpose of this paper is to investigate the shape of the coastline of a river delta on a coast, along which sediment is transported by waves only. In order to make the problem suitable to a mathematical treatment it is necessary to simplify to a large extend the processes occurring in nature.
