Focus and Scope
The Cormac McCarthy Journal is a peer-reviewed journal focusing on the works and influences of Cormac McCarthy. CMJ publishes articles, notes, and reviews related to Cormac McCarthy's novels, dramas, and screenplays, the film adaptations of his works, and other appropriate scholarly materials.
CMJ is published annually in hard copy and online, and is a member of the Council of Editors of Learned Journals; the Journal is supported by the Cormac McCarthy Society (www.cormacmccarthy.com).

Peer Review Process
The CMJ is a peer reviewed scholarly journal. Submissions are read and vetted by the managing editor and then sent to external reviewers. Response times vary, but most responses are within 8 weeks. Reviewers are asked to judge essays based on their contribution to McCarthy studies and the quality of the work submitted. Book reviews are generally solicited, but interested authors can contact the editor to suggest a review.
Publication Frequency
The Cormac McCarthy Journal pubishes online with one hard copy publication each fall.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
